Duration: 15 days/ 14 nights

Route:  Tashkent – Andijan-Kuva – Margilan – Kokand- Kokand – Rishtan – Tashkent- Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva-  Bukhara- Bukhara-Nurata-Yurt camp- Aydar Kul- Sentyab village- Hayat village-Samarkand-Tashkent.

1 Day – Istanbul – Tashkent (air)

Flight to Tashkent.

2 Day – Tashkent

Arrival in Tashkent midnight, meeting at the airport and transfer to hotel for early accommodation. Rest.

Breakfast at hotel.

Start sightseeing:

  • Hast-Imam (Khazrati Imam) is a religious center of Tashkent. It includes the Barak-Khana madrasah, built in the XVI century, the Tillya-Sheih Mosque, Mausoleum of Saint Abu-Bakr Kaffali Shashi and Islamic Institute named after al-Bukhari
  • Mustaqilik (Independence Square) – the political centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Government buildings and the Senate are located here.  Independence Monument was erected 1991 as a symbol of the sovereignty of the country. It shows a golden globe and the outlines of Uzbekistan.
  • Chorsu Bazaar – City’s farmers market under a huge cupola that sells spices, grain, dairy products, fruits of the season.  Here you can encounter the hustle and bustle of everyday life in Central Asia and you will have a good chance to see people in the colourful local dress.
  • Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Theatre – The theatre was built on the plans of Alexey Shchusev, the architect of Lenin’s Mausoleum in Moscow in neoclassical style. The theatre has special significance for Japanese nationals because it was built by the Japanese prisoners of war during the Second World War. A plate acknowledging their contributions is part of the building
  • Monument of Courage – built to acknowledge the courage of the people at the time of the Tashkent earthquake on 26th April 1966. The whole city was reduced to rubble and then modern Tashkent was built.
  • Amir Temur Monument – is in the centre of Tashkent. Amir Temur, in armour, is sitting on his horse, holding the reins of his horse with his left hand and greeting the people with his right hand.

3 Day – Tashkent – Andijan (train) – Kuva (43km/1hr)– Margilan (34km/47min)–Kokand (74km/1hr 40min)

Breakfast. Transfer to railway station, morning train to Andijan.

Arrival, sightseeing of the city:

  • Andijan: Babur Park und Museum
  • Kuva Excavations
  • Margilan Atlas factory

Transfer to Kokand.

4 Day – Kokand – Rishtan (42km/46min) – Tashkent (277km/4hrs 24 min)

Breakfast at hotel. Start of SS:

  • Khudoyar Khan Palace
  • Modari Khan Mausoleum
  • Dakhma Shokhon
  • Rishtan: Ceramic workshop

Transfer to Tashkent via passage Kamchik by sedan cars.

Arrival and check in hotel.

5 Day – Tashkent – Urgench – Khiva (air HY+30km/30min)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport, morning flight to Urgench by HY.

Arrival in Urgench and transfer to Khiva. Arrival, full day sightseeing tour:

Khiva is a well-preserved and fascinating city, its azure-glazed tiles glinting in the midday sun. It is unique because it has very well preserved neighborhoods, beautiful buildings and religious, military and palace structures, in addition to houses of a specific national type. Ichan-Kala and Dishan-Kala, the two parts of the city, contain most of its wonderful monuments.

  • Pakhlavan Makhmud complex (XIV – XIX c) – the most remarkable architecture memorial complex in Khiva with unique tiles.
  • Islam Khodja minaret and madrassah (1908) – 45 m high is the highest building in Khiva with, the observation area.
  • Djuma mosque (X – XVII c) a cathedral mosque, the roof of which lies on 212 wooden fretted columns with unique acoustics and original technical ideas natural of lighting
  • Tash Hovli Palace –summer residence of Khiva Khanswas built in thefirst half of the nineteenth century. Palace has three yards connected by labyrinths of corridors
  • Kalta Minor – This squat minaret is an iconic symbol of Khiva, mainly because of it’s exquisite blue and green tile work and the fact that it remains unfinished. It was originally supposed to rival the Kalon Minaret in Bukhara; however the architect fled before seeing it finished, fearing he would be put to death by the khan. Kalta Minor dates from the 19th cent.
  • Toza Bog Palace 1893-1913 – the summer residence of Mohammed Rakhim Khan II stands halfway between the European and Central Asian worlds, craftsmen from St. Petersburg brought square windows and large doorways to the traditional pillared iwans of the servants’ courtyard and girikh designs of the green ganch reception rooms.

6 Day – Khiva (Toprak Kala, Ayaz Kala) 102 km/1h 50min)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to visit Toprak Kala and Ayaz Kala.

  • Toprak-Kala -ancient settlement which was the capital of Khorezm in the III century AD
  • Ayaz- Kala was neither a city nor a settlement; it was a fortress complex where nearly 19 centuries ago boundary groups of Kushan dynasty settled down.

Drive back to Khiva.

7 Day – Khiva – Bukhara (450 km/7hrs)

Breakfast. Drive to Bukhara via desert Kyzyl Kum.

8 Day –  Bukhara

Breakfast. Full day sightseeing:

  • Ark citadel – From the most ancient times the Ark was the fortified residence of the rulers of Bukhara. Everything could be found there – palaces, temples, barracks, offices, the mint, warehouses, workshops, stables, an arsenal, and even a prison
  • Bolo Khauz Mosque
  • Chashma Ayub
  • Poikalon Complex – consists of three structures, Minorai Kalon, Masjidi Kalon & Miri Arab Madrassa. Minaret was built by the Karakhanid ruler Arslan Khan in 1127. The mosque was built circa 1514 & madrassah was completed in 1536.
  • Labi Havz – considered to be the center of the Old City. It means “ensemble near the pool”. The main element of this ensemble is the pool. The ensemble Labi-havz has three monumental structures. These are: Kukeldash madrassah (16th century) built by Abdullah II was, at the time, the biggest Islamic School in Central Asia. Nadir Devanbegi Madrassah (16th century) was inteded to be a caravan saray, but according to the order of the ruler Imam Kulimkhan, was reconstructed into a Madrassah. Nadir Devanbegi Khanaka (winter mosque) was built at the same time as the Labi-havz (16th century).
  • Maggoki Attar Mosque – the oldest surviving mosque in Central Asia, dating back to the 9th cent., reconstructed in the 16th cent.  It was built in place of the temple of fire worshipers. Till present time reached the sample recovered in 1546, it is16th stepped hall under two domes. Portals building are a real masterpiece of architectural decoration.

9 Day – Bukhara – Nurata – Yurt camp (270km/5hrs)

After breakfast departure to Nurata.

On the way to Yurt Camp, Visit Complex Chashma in Nurata.

Arrival in Jurten Lager, acc in yurts.

Activities in camp: camel riding in Yurt Camp (15 min), walking around, enjoy flora and fauna which are also very rich.

Dinner with bonfire and Kazakh akyns.

10 Day – Yurt camp – Aydarkul lake – Sentob (160km/4hrs)

Breakfast in yurt camp. Morning camel riding to Aydarkul Lake.

Arrival and swim, sunbathing. Walking at shore of the lake.

 

After lunch, Drive to Sentyab village,

Sentyab is one the few villages where almost

Wandering through the village is a fantastic way to see locals doing their

Livelihood activities. You will meet many friendly and curious villagers

willing to talk to you.

Arrival and Your host welcome you and show the home stay facilities.

11 Day – Sentob – Hayat village (approx. 20km)

AM. Breakfast with the family. Our todays trail will take us to the castle Korgon (3, 5-4 hours/8km return trip).

Start   hiking up Sentyab village, pass an old water mill-You will see old Petroglyphs then you visit Korgon castle

and you can see Mongo cave the biggest Akko spring in Sentyab on the way then you will see old Mosque and

Meet many friendly people. The valley is great for birds.

Drive to the village Hayat. Climb to the village by the Uhum valley, and then walk to Guzar and Sari

Bedak passes. Arrive to Hayat. Relax in

The shady garden on.

Dinner and overnight at homestay.

12 Day – Hayat village – Samarkand (180km/5hrs)

Breakfast. Continue familiarizing with this village:

Guests will get to know with rural lives of local people as well as watching process of bread making, Bread tasting. After, visit of sanctuary.

After lunch time, Drive to Samarkand

Arrival and check in Hotel,

Dinner at a local restaurant.

13 Day –  Samarkand

Breakfast at hotel. Full day sightseeing:

  • Registan Ensemble – Registan became the city square when the life in Afrosiab stopped. Since that time Registan was reconstructed several times. Today it is surrounded by the three medreses Ulugbek, Sherdor and Tillokori.
  • Gur Emir Mausoleum – As a conqueror there are few that are Tamerlane’s equal, both in territory and legacy left. Today one can visit his tomb in the beautifully reconstructed Gur-Emir Mausoleum (1404-1405, 15-17 centuries) and reflect on his life while looking at the largest piece of jade (greenstone) in the world.
  • Bibi-Khanym Mosque – named after the wife of Temur and built between 1399-1404 – is one of best known architectural attractions of Central Asia.
  • Siab bazar

14 Day –  Samarkand – Tashkent (train)

Breakfast at hotel. Half day sightseeing:

  • Ulugbek’s Observatory – observatory of Timur’s grandson. Only the foundations remain but it is truly extraordinary. Ulugbek was an astronomer, scientist and architect.
  • “Meros” – silk paper making hand workshop
  • Shakhi-Zinda Ensemble – (9 -14, 19 centuries) situated on southeastern mound of Afrosiab. This architectural complex consists of 44 tombs in more than 20 mausoleums.

Transfer to train station, train to Tashkent.

Arrival and check in Hotel.

15 Day – Tashkent – Out (air)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport, Flight to home country.
